It's a Gobrecht dollar. I don't like to use the terms "original" or "restrike" since there is such a controversy over when various pieces were issued, how they were released and if they could be considered patterns. Some of the controversy has its roots in the terminology that Breen helped to popularize, but Breen was doing his best with the information at-hand. This is considered a J60 die alignment IV that was part of a group of 600 coins minted in March, 1837 with a significant percentage of these coins put into circulation. The PCGS slab has the label of "Restrike", but current research tends to agree it is an "Original".
