    Aloha,
I have just recently started numismatics (I think I was fated to since I work for a credit union) and upon inspection, ran into this quarter that was quite peculiar to me. It looked like someone attempted to punch or dent the metal, but the spacing looks suspiciously like the reeds around the quarter? Any input? Please delete if posted in wrong place.

    Mahalo.

Interesting! If it were PMD, wouldn't you expect to see some flattening on the reverse at 12 o'clock?

What does the third side look like? Does it have reeding on the full perimeter?

IMO this looks like a collar clash,

Looks like some form of collar issue. @paddman98 probably can shed some light.

That is interesting. I am not the forum error guy and usually pass these posts by. But this one is interesting. I am thinking like @cpm9ball and would expect to see some flattening of the reverse if it was hit.

It does have full reeding around its perimeter.

    I saw this earlier. Neat.
    Someone mentioned a Collar Clash.
I was thinking a Floating Collar Clash but not totally sure.
