I like this one, showing a roman lady veiled and mysterious. This roman coin (dupondius of Drusus) shows the wife of emperor Augustus, Livia, portrayed as Pietas. In better preserved coins you can really appreciate her beauty.
She may not be "beautiful" by today's standards (and even in her time, she was an old spinster) -- but, she was an extremely historically important figure. And, compared to that Eunice Kennedy Shriver coin, she's a babe!
That is a stunning 1858 penny. I've always thought young Victoria is beautiful and have always wanted a penny in that condition. Hope to get one sometime.
Ahh come on you guys! Eunice was a person who was not so horrible looking as a young woman. Her soul and heart was in the right place with her active participation in the Special Olympics. She may not be physically attractive on the outside, but y'alls gotta learn to be a bit more deep. Now if you want to base off physical beauty, I'll go with a portrait of an abstract person. Miss Liberty.
Maybe it's time for the ladies at CT to start a "Post a Handsome, Drop Dead Gorgeous Man" on a coin thread?! It might take a while to find the appropriate coins...
I wonder if ex-HRH Diana was ever on a coin, commemorative or privately minted. I'm sure some mint had to have done something. I dare say I think she'd qualify as a beautiful woman.
