I don't know if I still have this coin anymore but I had/may still have this winner.

 

Isn't this the design of which a reviewer of the day said "looks like her hair is in a fright"? But I think the cheeziest part is the abbreviation of "AMERI." Couldn't they spring for the "CA"?

 

Looks like it was buried with the 1916 I posted earlier today.

 

This is what the new Zinc Cent (Zincolns) looks like when you pluck them out of the beach with a Metal Detector.. These are just a few. I have about 150 of these!

 

It does have toning.

 

Found in change many years ago.

LOL yeah, you know it's a good one when the patina has more relief than the devices.

 

Found this Buffalo a month or so ago. I scrubbed it with a dish scrub pad for a while, to see if I could get a date off of it, but the corrosion was too strong.

 

Also found this sweet 1945 P silver nickel about a month ago. The silver is delaminating. Nice! It actuallly spent a couple of weeks in my nickel album until I stumbled across a normal looking one.

One of these coin is ugly, the other is just an ugly design IMHO.

Yes that is a 14d. Found it at age 12 and wasn't sure if it was a 's' or 'd' because all I had was my dad's magnifying glass. It wasn't until recently that it was confirmed as a 'd'. As you said, it is "ugly" but many of my collection coins fall into that category.
