The purists like oil as a classic medium out of respect mainly and I agree but it can get spendy and in the end not really necessary to get the point across. I just don't get to do many of these as I really don't do it for money and my day job takes most of my attention. I just do a few now and then to delight myself and my wife and this time I just wanted to do the coin. With that said, there are some things I would do different even looking at it next to my avitar, but I will always think that and it doesn't really bug me that much, and as long as the "s" is right and the wheat lines and kernels are the right number I'm happy, so on to the next piece.
