[QUOTE="Stewart, post: 1006897, member: 19834"]Duke, I would say that roughly a little more than half are one variety or another. You gave me a good idea, maybe this winter I will dig ALL of them out and sort them by variety. Right now they are stacked in the boxes pretty much the order in which I bought them. It is strange that when I dug these out and looked through them after taking this shot. I could remember going over them thoroughly looking for varieties. Then I learned more about the Ike's since looking over them and I find more things on the ones I have. That is why I have a hard time selling any of them. It seems that there is always something new being found in the Ike series the last few years. And I am certain that as soon as I sell some, That something new will be found. And sure enough the new discovery will be in the year of the ones I sold. So I just keep them all. except ones that are thoroughly beat to death, Those I spend in local stores and use for tips. People love getting them. Jello, Thanks, I am always working on them, It is a blast. I have never had so much fun with a series of coins as I have with the Ike's. Morgan and Peace VAM Hunting was fun. But nothing compared to this. I love being on the ground floor with all of the new discoveries. Example: A gentleman made a new discovery of a 1971 D FEV DDO DDR He had it attributed and posted pictures of the discovery. After the weekend of the NSRA Hot Rod Show I pulled some coins out I had taken for the weekend to share with some of the Officials and Security Staff. And one was a 71 D FEV I wanted to show them the varieties characteristics, The Earth, Eagles Brow and such. I saw the gentleman's discovery pictures and then looked the the one I had there on the desk and it was a dead on match except mine is a much later die state. Perfect end to a great weekend. Here is a link to the thread of the Gentleman's 1971 D FEV DDO DDR and how it progressed. It was very cool. Just goes to show it is always good idea to take more than a couple looks over a coin You never know what you might miss. I have owned this coin for over two years.
