It's their Trueview imaging service, $10/coin ... The main photographer's name slips my mind atm, but he has his own setup for taking coin "glamour shots" ... I think most of my Trueviews come pretty darn close to the coin itself, but some think they are juiced too much in general ... I'm not in that camp. I like them. The only reason I got those Trueviews done was I wanted some High Res images of some Type 2 Ikes I found and had graded with PCGS so it made sense. And if I sell in the future I don't have to go through the hassle of doing it myself. Again, not cheap though. They did have a special a couple months ago to add on for $5/coin. Maybe they'll do it again.
Oh wow, how neat, didn't know PCGS did that, just thought it was a few members with really good members. (lol) Does NGC and the other 2 do this also? Really sharp images.
Yeah I never seen an Ike I ever wanted before. I'm an early guy not a modern guy. But the color and cameo contrast I like on this one
HaHa we would have fought over it. I stopped bidding somewhere around 150 cuz my eye caught something else shiny lol. Plus I'm not convinced it will look like that in hand without manipulation. I hope it does though! Im noticing our collecting styles share alot of the same overtones
Yeah. I think this one will look a lot like the pics especially in bright light. I'm pretty good at judging coin color I got plenty of experience. . Plus ngc gave it a star that can't hurt either. I buy all over the map as I deal also but I don't have to make a living at it so I just try to buy what I like. I've narrowed my collecting to just a type set and a trade dollar set
What do I think? I'm thinking..............HOLEY SH..........AMOLEY! What a Score! TWO MS65's! I'd have soiled myself!
Happy to see this thread getting some love, won these two on Ebay im keeping the nicer of the two and selling the other....sellers pics. 71-D MS66 this one actually has a talon head clash and is the nicer of the two. 71-D MS66
Compared to these previous ones, mine looks boring. But it has some really nice subtle blue toning I wish I could capture better.
Here is my boring one of a kind Ike .. Sorry, but pics from my old camera phone.. Probably in my top three all time favorites of all the Daniel Carr pieces in my collection.. 1776-1976 Bicentennial Silver Proof Ike 1913-2013 Double Over Struck Indian/Buffalo Centennial Moonlight Mint Open House Token This bad boy is just absolutely perfect to me and needs to get slabbed for protection
HAHA Thanks so much for the appreciation. Haven't logged in here for a few days... That was a while ago, still have the best 65 and best 64 (IMO) in my possession and thinking of holding on a bit longer. Just got back some 76-P T1s and scored (5) 65s and a 65+ out of 15 submitted. My eye is better with the "normal" reverse I think. I might send in one for reconsideration but have not used that PCGS service. Oh well, all is good in (my) Ike world! Huzzah!
