Had a blast at the coin show yesterday a bought a few IKE's to fill my Dansco Album. 1973-S Silver Proof Brown Box 1972-S Silver Proof CAM 1971-P BUNC
They had like 12-15 of them there (blues) and this was the best. I couldn't pass this beauty up. Almost worth getting graded. But I won't.
Yea, unless you KNOW it'll be no less than a 68, it's not worth it. 74 BS are quite clean, relatively speaking, compared to other years of the blue packs. Not that having it in OGP is a bad thing. I always like my Ikes in OGP, unless it's a big variety like the 72 Ty2 or 71-D FEV (which coincidently never came in any OGP). I don't have any of the proof varieties, at least that I know of. I really need to break out my scope at some point to confirm that.
Well I guess the cat's out of the bag now, so I'll post one of 'em here... Discussed in this earlier thread ... I figure I'll also let the "Ike guys" and participants in this thread chime in, so @19Lyds @cladking @jello @ldhair @geekpryde @Tater @bkozak33 and @gbroke .... what ya think? And sorry to anyone I've misidentified as an Ike collector from previous interactions on this thread and CT in general
