Nice ike!!! I met the guy who has the other prototype this weekend. I just happen to sit at a dealers table that he was at. I was looking through Ike's, and he started talking to me about them. I wasn't sure if it was really him until I looked online. Can't wait to get my ike group book for christmas!!
Cool. We will be happy to have you come aboard. The cool tthing about true view with this coin is that the "worm" is visible in the photos.
Well I finally did it. I may have said that before, but this time I really did capture the color. This is the HARDEST coin I have ever tried to photograph by a long shot. This is probably my tenth serious time at trying to get a decent pic. What you 'all think?
No activity since the beginning of the year on this thread. Time to change that. I've picked up a few lately, but this is one that I'm excited about:
Yep, forgot to post that part, PR69DCAM Silver, but the devil is in the details. It's another Micro-S "candidate." The mmp seems to match up to MMS-1, so I'll just have to wait and see what it is when it gets here. Also, on a side note, the coin in my avatar is off to PCGS. It's taken a while to get around to sending it in, but if nothing else, it will be nice to have it in PCGS hardware to protect it even if good 'ole "Joe Dirt" does come back as Questionable...
I haven't put anything here in a while either. I have a couple nice coins out to PCGS, some real nice toned '73-S and '74-S Silver proofs, so I'll post them when they get back. For now tho, I feel great after stealing this one tonight. Apologies if I outbid anyone here. I tossed a number in the sniper and thought I was going to be way low, turns out I was not even close to my max bid. Got real lucky, a MS-64 for MS-63 money: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Ty-2-I...UTeRFQnOCAwIkx5kWK2mU%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Three-PCGS-...gtKdB3nvbl%2Bhg0ZkZEE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Picked up these today at what i think is a bargain. I am putting together a 1976 Bicentennial set with the quarter, half and dollar in PR69 and as high an MS grade for each as I can afford. This is a good start on the Ikes now to start on nice MS examples.
Had this on my watch list and was going to bid but missed the end time. You got a real good deal on the 3. I was looking at these to put into a full MS+PR registry set.
