Clad Proof Ikes were not made until 1973.

 

Right. The 1971 S Ike proof is 40% silver.
Just enough to give it a little more weight (24.6 grams v. 22.7 grams) and that nice clink when it drops (although not my proof ones )

 

A few Ikes showed up in the mail today.

1977-D PCGS MS66...... This thread just hasnt seen any action lately......

 

Does this mean Ikes are losing demand?

I feel this one, and others I asked have agreed, has questionable color. Although maybe not intentional. It's definitely not the usual AT colors, but it reacted to something pretty dramatically. It is nice to look at though.

This was a certified NGC MS66 before i cracked it out....

 

Nice 72s, definitely nice to look at.

I just came across this 71 P, I'm intrigued with the toning, the color. I do like looking at it.
