I'm working on re-imaging all of my IKEs in my type set.

1972-D, PCGS MS66

 

Here is my one and only "Type 2". Paid $1 for it, since it was in a hoard I bought at my bank.

 

Wow, BRG, "I like Ike." That is gorgeous!!!!!

 

Bought raw off Ebay gorgeous peacock toner...

 

1970-78 P-D-S Ike's today are one of the hottest coins to find more Die variety so keep hunting:thumb:

 

Scanners are "NOT" very good at showing toning on a coin as seen below.



So I created these composite photo's.

Gorgeous i love those and most times they dont break the bank.

 

I really like this one, because most toned proofs you have to turn the coin into direct light to see the toning. This one is exactly how you see it, straight on, in normal light.

 

What's going on with the mintmark, Gbroke?

 

Thats why i like the Peacock toners but those do break the bank in a big way.

 

Hmm, never noticed. It does look a little strange. Here it is compared to another 74-s brown boxer.
It certainly looks stubby compared to the other one.
So yeah, I have no clue.


A quick check on the Ike Group site..Maybe this:
