Great coins Lee:thumb: Are you going to send the Typo back in to Pcgs or keep it? Great filled die examples I do not see the upside down "V" in the hair of the 71-S proof is it just the way it is lit in the photograph? And I really like the 71 Very Very Clean I love seeing clean fields on 71 and 72's
I'm keeping the 76-D "As Is" since I've sent far too many slabbing errors back to them. Yes, the 1976-D Type 2 is in fact a 1976-D Type 1 coin. BTW, I bid on and won a 1976-D Type 2 that was mislabeled as a 1976-D Type 1 in MS66 ( A Major coin ) but the danged auction venue had it reslabbed as a correct Type 2 coin. Of course, the reslabbing occured prior to the auction so I was a little ****ed since I really wanted the error. As for the 71-S, the V is there.
I received this yesterday in the mail. Nothing fancy, but I did not have this coin in my general collection.
I have (2) of those talon head clashes! I honestly don't thank those are rare at all. You have to remember the Denver Mint didn't have an auto shut off on the press at the time, and the mint isn't going to constantly replace or repair the set of dies everytime a coin doesn't feed and the die's kiss each other! BTW: 'SaltySam' Ike Slabs are addicting!!! Now you MUST get all eleven proofs in PR69! Don't get me started with the Dansco Album!
My First 1971 S 40% Business Strike Talon Head After much time and Many Many Ike's I finally found my first my first 1971 S 40% Business Strike Talon Head. I lit the obverse photo of the whole coin to show the halo of die abrading they did around Ike's head Terry
