they were "gross-out" stickers in the 1980s that word-played on names as you can see above. They were stuck all over boys skateboards and bikes back then. Everybody wanted their namesake character
My photocrappy skills leave a lot to be desired I can take the best toning and make it look blast white LOL. Kind of like my ex wifes cooking she could take fresh vegetables and make them taste like came from a can. She made pancakes so thin they only had one side.
Have ever seen any Ikes with die clashes? That's nice group actually better than nice. Thanks for sharing.
They happen especially with 72 Denver. The Philly clashes are super rare though as Philly had an automatic shutoff function that usually prevented clashing. Denver's presses didn't have that function
Last year I bought a lot of 23 rolls of ikes purportedly from an SDB stash. I found varieties and clashes galore, plus these 2, so I'm guessing the SDB story was true
Sweet!! I keep checking back with my local B&M who seems to always get Ike's walking in the door. He pay's like a $1.10 for them regardless of date and condition. He then turns and sells them for $1.25. So I like to go in and pull any of the better condition ones. Just the other day, I snagged a '71-D FEV, too bad it's AU.
These were all ms/pf and the breakdown I paid was around $1.70 each if I remember right. It was a total gamble lot
Here's the original one: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-an-ike.51904/ As you say, "let's bring it back to life."
