The lighting is slightly off on this but this is a beautiful coin with the toning action. I went through a few 73S Browns yesterday to pick this one up.
Wow. This is a g3eat display of ikes. Great thread. Pretty, pretty, and pretty. I got all of those too, but mine in a book. Ooop grandbabies got them. Yours are more better. Lol
I just completed my 4th Eisenhower Dollar Dansco album. The last two holes I filled were the 1972-S silver business strike and the 1976-S silver proof. I also picked up this 72-D because of its clean, satiny fields. I really like the striation lines as well.
I Photograph my coins with my smart phone and it’s not the easiest task. Are you using such a smart phone or a regular camera and do you have any tips.
I am not sure @DysfunctionalVeteran has chimed in, in a while. I haven't seen @Cascade here in a while. How you two been doing?
I recently acquired a second Nightcrawler DIVa (1S2-401) from Brian Vaile of the Ike Group. It is an upgrade to my previous 67DCAM, but this new one (68CAM) does not have the additional struck-thru error present. So, the 67DCAM specimen retains its unique status as the only known struck-thru fiber/thread inclusion Nightcrawler. The "nightcrawler" itself is a hubbed-thru debris artifact. I've included a comparison photo below. This is my favorite Ike variety for sure, and there aren't many around. Last time I checked I believe there were approximately 20 known examples.
