    The 1982 and 1983's are often mushy, and hard to find in good condition in circulation. This 1982-D stood out. It looks much better in hand than this photo. There is very good luster and very good details on both sides.

    First one could be a clip. Show the cut rim area.
    The second one looks like a blank quarter planchet.

    I can relate to your collecting ways. I too am collecting Toned Canadian caribou quarters from 1937-1967. Also toned Canadian 50 cent pieces from 1937-1967 and some toned Canadian boat dimes. I enjoy the hunt and toning. Your toned quarters are amazing.
