This is just a circulated 1936-P. But my GF's mother gave it to me (and some other coins). She's gone now, and very often the sentimental value is worth so much more than the silver melt, or numismatic value.
Went with a blast white example for my type set, I see so many awesome toned Washies though may eventually have to swap this out for one.
While I don't care for the over dipped blast white Morgans, I do prefer this coin to a toned one, as this white seems more natural to me. Either it is natural, or someone did a good job on it. The toned coins to me appear dirty, and the silver seems to be degrading/oxidizing. I know people like the rainbow colors, but a toned silver coin is on the road to being black and ultimately damaged and possibly not able to be conserved.
Now this is beautiful. Thanks so much..It has 7 tail feathers...Man just the detail of this coin is amazing...
Here is a sneak peek at a few prizes for NEXT month's CT contest. The top row is clad Proof and the bottom row are Silver Proofs. These are all 2018 Block Island Quarters. Block Island is about an hour Ferry ride from the mainland in Rhode Island. I've been many times, and the whole Island is beautiful!
What does the eagle look like? (Wondering if it is obverse album toning only.) Why would someone slab this? Even at 65+ they have to be losing money.
