Very attractive toning, but I don't see any reflectivity. You have to have mirrored surfaces to get a PL - and there don't appear to be mirrors on yours (especially the reverse).
Thanks for the comments, y'all! I was very pleased to get this one recently on Heritage, especially at the steal of a price that I did!
Thanks. Like most moderns, these are under-appreciated. They're enormously difficult to find with this look.
I agree and I agree with the grade. I assume with the incredible detail on the eagles breast and Washington's hair, that it was an early strike and a strong strike.
I had an MS68 Delaware State Quarter once, but I sold it. It was nice, but I don't think it holds a candle to your coin.
Don't think I have posted this one here. More modern but still a Washington. Got this one in change a couple years back. Kept is because of its unique toning (at least i think it is toning} on reverse. Looks like the buffalo are stepping into the daylight. Ever seen a coin tone like this before?
Posted this on another thread but it's a quarter so it can go here. I cut her out of a sealed proof manila envelope. Maybe it's normal but why do the fields both appear reflective and as if its snowing very very heavily?? The fields dont have "spots" and all the other coins have the same mirrored/blizzard look.
