Arrived today. Toning is a little unattractive, and hits that are parallel above "In God We Trust" are a little scratch-like. Decent luster.
1944-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar (PCGS MS66). I overpaid for this coin at $750. Guide price is only $205. But what can I say, I just went ga-ga over this one when I saw it and had to have it. This is one that I never regretted buying even though I paid nearly 3.7x.
Here is one of my recent pickups from an auction last week. I was able to grab about 7 Walkers in total, but this was definitely my favourite of the group. Gorgeous coins in just about any condition.
A price guide is just that - a Guide. Many coins actually sell for many times guide because of things like toning, strike etc. If the coin meets "your" standards, then it's a good buy. Personally, I think you coin looks great!
