Staying on the subject of toned half dollars here is a 1964 that was kept from the melting pot.

Got them off of ebay for $20. I think I might have overpayed but I liked them.

Just got this one at an auction today. Been looking for a nicely toned PR 66, and here he is:

Here is an 1893 Columbian half dollar which resides in an unusual Dansco album.

This is the "unusual" Dansco album. I suspect I'm the only one at CT with this particular Dansco.

Photo quality diminished when I tried to capture the color. Sorry 'bout that guys.

Edit: Oh and a story. I got this at our coin club in the raffles. Everybody was grabbing other non-mint coin sets while I had my eyes on it. Luckily my number got drawn and I was excited to see it still there. It also came with an UNC. Lincoln but it isn't that great.

A few weeks ago I ordered a Kennedy Dansco with all coins from 1971-1997 (sans the silver), including proofs. That baby showed up on friday. Almost every single coin was toned. Just wow!
I will post a whole new thread, but here is a taste.

Everyone seems to have SpaceMonkey's photoshop template, but it appears to no longer exist on the internet so I'm out of luck. Plan-B was to take a youtube crash course on photoshop elements and created a similar template for my coins. Here is the first, happens to be a toned circulated half I found roll searching:

    (or is that dirt?)
