I once bought an alexandrite gemstone at a Vegas auction by accident for $80. Got back to the hotel and researched it and they were valuable so I took pics right in my room to get it on eBay fast. You have to take pics of an alexandrite in both natural Sun light and incandescent as it changes color. So between using the window and the bathroom light it took an over an hour to get the right pics.
