My second attempt at photo editing...

Anyone want to guess a grade? It's in a pcgs holder presently...

The reverse has a rather noticable die crack thru America as well as one running from the "L" down thru the "N" thru the "1" to the tip of her neck on the obverse. One thru the "T" in Liberty running to the "Y" and then thru the bun of her hair.

I removed the image of the 22D as I don't know how good the toning was/is not that I tried taking photos of the whole holder so didn't want to misrepresent the overall image but the purple/blueish color is definitely there..

Not my coin. I imaged it a couple of years ago when it was raw. I just heard from the owner that PCGS just graded it MS67+RB. I think that is the highest graded RB at PCGS.

 

1966 French 10 francs

 

I got this coin photographed by PCGS's TrueView service a couple of weeks ago. It was graded PF-62 (OGH), although I had to pay closer to PF-63 money for it. The bidding was very heavy and frenzied.

Winged, Did they crack it out of the OGH to take the photograph? Is it now in a current blue label holder? Is't that how the T. V. service works? Matt

Matt (Coppermania), yes, correct. I lost the OGH to get a TrueView (out of the slab) photo. Everyone is different some people live and die for OGH's, I like the coins themselves more (and the photos). I suppose I could have resubmitted this to be regraded (it's possible it might make a PR63) but honestly I dont even really care about the grade on the label. I just like the way certain coins look! (Call me weird!)

I suppose if I was buying coins to make money I would care more about the label. But if I am never going to sell it, what difference does it make? I suppose my heirs might care, and if the price difference between a PR62 and PR63 got high enough and I got old enough or sick enough, perhaps I should resubmit for regrading for my heirs. Until then I live and die for the coins themselves and the photos to show them off!

By the way, I did photograph the full slab with coin and label before sending them off, just so I have a record of the old labels.
