I bought a lot of 25 proof Roosevelts on eBay. The seller says they are artificially toned. This admission might have affected the bidding, yielding a sale price of only $2.75, or 11 cents each (not counting shipping). I thought they would be fun to photograph. They range from 1968-S to 1992-S. Or they did, until I somehow lost the 92-S between opening the package upstairs, showing them to my wife, and bringing them back downstairs for photographing. Tossed all the wastebaskets, checked in the chairs, under the chairs, in pockets, to no avail. I wonder when that missing coin will show up again?
Thanks it's actually the main coin on the NGC website for Elizabeth II Aussie pennies. I'm rather proud of this one.
Indeed, not sure how you get such contrasting color like that (maybe a Whitman style album?) but it looks really cool in hand.
