actually, found another one. hard to get good through the cellophane, but this 1960 proof nickel turned an amazing dark blue.

for some reason I've had this canadian half dollar laying on my desk for like 3 years with lots of sun. All I've got to show for it is this tiny spot of rainbows

I would cut that out and put it into an airtite ASAP to freeze it where it is. I've done it before with these. It's a VERY nice nickel!

The early 60's nickels really toned nicely. The ms deep dark purples ,the proofs what I call a pastel cotton candy color.

Just remember that yes it is a pretty toned nickel the mintage 1,691,602 that said it's not a nickel that's going to increase in value. Even toned I have rolls of proof nickels from the late 50's to late 80's . I be lucky to get $2 @ piece for them, and yes some are toned nicely in the rolls.

That's your call....... but personally I leave it. Unless you plan to replace the set. Or just break up the set from the original packaging . The other coins may also tone in the mint package . Let me look I just may have a roll of 60 proofs that are toned. If so I will pm ya and toss one your way.
