Wanted one of these for a while. Found this beaut. Some light toning.

 

Is that an 81s?

 

No Sir, it's a little bit better! The more elusive 1881-O, graded MS-64+ I figured I'd better not show the reverse since it doesn't have any color....but:

 

Very nice. Is it a PL? Looks like a lot of heavy die polish on the reverse. Kitty is almost missing a leg!

I just crossed five of my Mercs from NGC to PCGS. All were in old holders. The 39D and the 45S went up in grade. The only disappointment I had is that the 38 did not go FB. It was not FB in NGC either, but I really think it is a FB coin. I also believe the 38 could grade higher if I resubmit, but it probably isn't worth it.

Tell me which one you like most and why! The 39D or the 38 are my favs.

I will have a few more TrueViews to post in a few days . . .

 

Another very nice group. I love the blue reverse on the 45S. It would have been amazing paired with the obverse of the 41. I think the 38 has the best overall look, moreso than the 39D because I'm not much of a fan of splotchy toning. I would say the 41 is my second favorite overall.

I still need to get myself a nice, toned Merc for my type set. These are making me envious...

 

Me I like the 38 and 45-s all nice coins tho

The toning on this one looks better than my pics but , as stupid as it sounds, I bought this mainly because of the old ANA holder.

 

Can't blame you. I'm a sucker for neat holders, too. Nice coin.
