I don't even recall the last time I've bought a non-UNC coin, but i couldn't pass this one up. I don't know the series well, so I was surprised to find the 31-S is a semi key. Just for context, XF is $20 while MS65 is $300.

And while I'm at it, I also don't recall ever buying a Franklin half. Yes, you read that correctly. I've bought a couple mint sets, but never an individual half. I hope I did well. I think this one needs a TV.

I still say toned coins are UGLY. I like my coins to look like the day they were minted!

 

I wonder what motivates a person not only to open a thread dedicated to a specific area of coins he hates, but also posts to it.

 

Just picked up this 43D is PCGS MS67FB - it is my second 43D monster toner in 67FB. I will be sending them in together for reconsideration. This one has a little more luster than the red one I posted the other week. I can't spot anything holding this back from upgrading, we'll see what happens.

 

Here is my 61 that went PR68 Cameo. I've personally never seen a monster toned roosevelt that has graded so high with cameo.

 

And nothing not to like about this 52S.
