That's killer ksuscott! Is this graded? I haven't had good luck with toned SLQ's and the grading companies.
I was going to wait to post this until I get it in-hand, but I couldn't resist. I very happy to have won this coin last night.
Thanks @kSigSteve, before I bid on it, I also checked out the NGC pictures of the coin. Based on what I've seen, I expect this one to have a lot of luster. It also isn't very dark either. Many of the coins in last nights toner auction were very dark with beautiful toning.
Care to share the grade? MS65FH ? This is one of the nicest toned SLQ's I have ever seen. I made quick "tru-view" style image from your great pics. I had to see it! Here is one I sent in that came back questionable color, which surprised me.
The lines in front of George's forehead are die polish lines that are accentuated by the light angle.
LCS pick ups today for a couple of bucks.... Proof Roosevelt toned. The 1968 S has a light golden hue from rim to center on both the Obv. & Rev. The 1989 S Obv. has a sun set orange obv. and a purple gun medal blue steel hue on the Rev.
