Coolest Two Cent Piece (ever?) PCGS PR66 BN Perhaps a bit lacking in luster (but it might be a bad photo) ... but the color is just stunning! I was tracking this on Heritage and seriously thought about bidding on it several times ... it fired off for a bit over $2500.
Incredible!!! I'd say that coin covers just about every color in the toning spectrum, wouldn't you?! Truly, truly spectacular, robec. What's the label read? (If there is one...) -Brian
You are correct, every color is covered. That coin and this next one is owned by Toneddollars (PCGS and NGC message boards). He has an incredible collection of toned coins, not limited to Dollars. The 1881-S is a PCGS MS66. NGC MS65* Gold CAC although not on the label, the also has full PL surfaces.
1886 Morgan with some interesting toning. I actually love these types of toned coins more than the bright white types.
1937 Buffalo war paint I been going thur coin book I forgot I had.that were all the toners are coming from!
