I haven't been very active playing coins lately, but I do still get a few here and there. Here's a few new ones. 1907 IHC - it's not terrible. Could use some more luster. 1911 V-nick 1963 D Frankie - grades FM (Full Mullet) 1902 German Empire - Baden 2 Mark These Kens are killer! 1964 1966 Business Strike 1969 D - this guy is a true monster .
Now how did you guys get shots of the toning so well? I tried and did not succeed... any advice..... or perhaps my coins in front of your camera?
Sometimes I wish I did have a fancy camera setup. But not so. Truth be told, I go between an old Fuji point & shoot and my old Blackberry smartphone which has one of the best lens for cell phone cameras. Lights with CFL natural light bulbs at 10 and 2 and I always tilt the lens or coin at the slightest angle. Actually, that particular dime I had to shoot twice, I saw the best colors after I was finished the first time. So I had to re-shoot it to get the color you see there.
