Nice proof! I've been actually thinking of selling my entire proof collection from 37 up to focus on my biz strike collection....hard decision.
Psychedelic, man! A fine looking coin. I've got a 1955-S that could be your's twin.....hot pink, orange, maroon, mauve, purple, gold. Its almost looking at the colors of a sunrise and sunset at the same time. Enjoy your new prize. Terri
This is another nice NGC MS 66 BN that I picked up. There is a little more purple behind the head than the picture shows. I thought it something different for one of the common dates in the series. Matt
I stopped by the coin shop yesterday to pick up some silver eagles. He asked if I cared about the year; I didn't. Apparently this just came in earlier that day. And this is what the eagle was packaged in.... -L
Just a thought..... I feel your pain at the thought of selling your proof coins so you can expand your business strikes. If you have any duplicate proofs, why not post to the Trade forum with proof coins you have to trade and a list of business strikes you want to trade for. I've seen where some really nice CTers have offered coins from his want list for free. If you are looking for AU/BU cents, I have many duplicates and would be happy to share. If you are successful with it, maybe you can hang on to your proofs! I wish you the best of luck which ever way you go. Happy New Year! Terri
Me too Bad Thad. Proof cents are one of my most favorite proofs. And when they tone, well, to die for. Don't sell your collection unless you are backed into a corner. Remember us Proof Cent lovers if you do decide to sell. The best of luck to you and your collecting.
A Lincoln Cent produced during the teeth of the Great Depression. Photo is a bit blurry and the slab is pretty scratched up (sorry!). This is a PCGS graded MS64 RB.
That 32 cent....love it. Here are a couple modern halves I picked up recently.... I'm guessing AT, but dang !, couldn't resist.
