I could easily go with 65 BN, but I probably would have guessed 64 BN from PCGS. But 63 RED would not have crossed my mind. Forget the number, where did the RED come from?
Oh, I see what you're looking at. It is a PCGS database error. It is RB. I sent 11 coins to PCGS for TrueView only. I bought these already graded by PCGS. Even though 4 are BN and 5 are RB, the cert page has all as RD. This is also incorrect in their database. It is BN not RD.
Not that I think 63 is right, but it is better than the red. I don't suppose it would be worth sending in for reconsideration.
I went to the bank for quarters for laundry money and pulled these two out of the roll. Are they worth keeping or use for laundry? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
1961 Proof Lincoln (PCGS PR67RB). Probably some of the smoothest color I've ever seen on a proof Lincoln -- and the surfaces of this coin are flawless. I think it's deserving of a PR68 grade at least. I also think that PCGS blew the color class, as this should be a BN (not a RB) as this coin has 0% of the original mint fresh copper color. This coin displays a rare chartreuse color, which is halfway between yellow and green that was named because of its resemblance to the color of a French liqueur called "Chartreuse" that was introduced over 200 years ago.
Ya I am. It's my first toned coin so I wanted to get something that really stands out. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
