never heard it put like that. well said, you may be swaying me to the dark side....or the rainbow side I guess would be appropriate.
I think that blast white coins are awesome if you have a coin like a bust half dollar or anything else from the 1800's but 20th century coins need something unique like toning to keep them interesting. JMO though.
First batch? Are you going to start a thread and list each coin with pics and with your guestimate grade? You should! Also, will you offer your TPG coins here first or straight to eBay? Assuming you don't keep them for yourself.
Alert the media! I am finally sending them in lol. I'll withhold any comment about selling them until I get the grades back.
Nothing valuable, just a couple of appealing toners. Ridiculous luster and beautiful colors. AU Kennedy from a bank roll:
Me since all my dream coins are early I'd prefer toned beautifully as blast white would mean cleaned my love is 18th c American coins a 1794 dollar and a small eagle half are 2 of my major dream coins the 1796 quarter of the Newman sale is a perfect example of a coin I'd kill to own great coin amazing color
just because it is shiny silvery white doesn't mean it is cleaned. I have a Morgan that rivals the 2014 modern silver eagle that just rolled off the press, and it definitely hasnt been cleaned, it has been under the microscope personally prior to being slabbed
If it is an 18th century coin it most certainly would have been cleaned. Morgan dollars are 19th century and millions of them were stored in mint sealed bags resulting in millions of blast white original coins.
Absolutely I have Morgan's the same what I was referring to is the early stuff tho have you seen a blast white flowing hair or draped bust? That was what I meant Morgan's sat in vaults in rolls and bags the coins of the early years circulated or if they didn't they weren't they were in a desk drawer or a document box
