Is there not an official LSCC person to talk to about purchasing. Figured there would be a few extras that didn't get sold.
I am not a member these were available to anyone who would want to order one. You as a member should have a list of the officials of the club, just contact one and see what happens. there were 186 of these struck by Daniel Carr but sold by the club http://www.moonlightmint.com/dc-coin_medals_club_list.htm
Im a new member, so still waiting on my package. I do have someone I can contact though. Thanks for the info
I'm not sure if this is a proof or not. I got this coin from my grandmother, who had received it from her friend who had been the daughter of a man who had worked at the Philadelphia Mint in 1909. For all I know, it might have been a trial piece, as it is a little different from the typical 1909 VDB business strikes, and also a little different from the normal matte proofs.
I will my grade is pf 62 as it has a couple marks it's not a gem proof by any means but a stunning coin anyway and a tough date in any grade
The marks to the left of libertys head and to the right of the eagles neck wi hold it back their crappy iPhone pics and this one was wicked hard to photo as it's really mirrored
