This wraps up an assembled 1951 proof set.

I figured you’d like the double error, even with the haze!

 

I had an ANACS Hvy Cameo at one time. These can come nice.

 

Yeah, that's a really cool "double" error, and I'm curious as to what exactly is doubled. I'm sure it's the motto on the obverse, but do you know what's doubled on the reverse? Good score.

 

Haha, actually that’s a great question, and one I was hoping no one would ask lol. I actually can’t see any doubling. At all. I haven’t had the chance to really pull out the loupe yet, but zooming in on pics hasn’t revealed anything. This was a case of buying the label. I’m guilty. I love these big Ike coins, especially the Proofs (I have a bunch.) So I happened on this auction with 1 minute left, and I hadn’t ever seen a Proof Ike error. I put in a $20 bid and won it for $18.
