My first pre-1950 Proof. From a Heritage Auction a few weeks ago. From the Heritage photos I noticed what looked like a worrisome ding just to the right of the "L". Thankfully, it was just a dab of ink on the slab. Cleaned-off easily with alcohol. I also worried about the poorly-lit photo of the reverse side. Hiding something? Nope. Reverse looks fine to me. (Apologies for the poor photos, it's the best I can do right now.) The slab is covered with years of fine scratches. And it looks like someone tried removing the CAC sticker -- possibly for re-holdering. But none of that matters to me. I love this coin. It's by far the best (and most expensive, so far) in my 100-coin Walker collection.
I've been scouting out '41 Walker proofs off and on for a few months. I can say yours has more eye appeal than anything I've run across. Congratulations on a good win!
