Here's a couple of my favorites. The buffalo is the same from the another thread but now with the white levels figured out. Also you can kind of see the rainbow toning on the reverse of the '74-S

Here are a few I posted on the VNickel thread and the Post a Buffalo thread. Only difference is between the photos on those thread and the ones I'm posting here is that the photos are a tad better.
    Enjoy!

I'm going through my Proof Sets. This is the first I photographed. Most marks are on the cellophane.

How about a 3 piece toned early nickel basic type set:

I don't know anything about nickels. I just thought you might be interested to se my two earliest Jeffersons. One is obviously a 1939-D. The other is a 1938-P. They are part of a complete set from my navy friend Ray who is looking to sell his old filled coin folders of pennys, nickels, dimes(mercury), and loose coins.
If anyone is interested please PM me. All coins are circulated and the best ones are between VG and Fine. It is a very small modest collection maybe $200 - $400 at the very most. He is really into hand made bottles and I think he's an expert at this. His collection is gorgious. Anyway---

Not sure what happened to this one in its life time but I have never seen another one like it:

There is a 1959 Black Beauty Franklin where the planchet was improperly annealed(left in furnace too long).

Found this one in my change today. The obverse looks gold; tried to get a pic but camera died before I could get a clear shot.

Two more I just found when I opened my friend Ray's 1913--1938 Buffalo Nickel folder.

Do toned circulated Nickels get any love?

I'm getting better and nickels are easier than copper. The spot and fingerprint are on the coin, the huge scratch is on the holder.

Marshall, that's really neat. i've noticed that war nickels seem to tone more than most of the other years. Now there's a general statement. But it is my honest opinion.
