I bought all of these raw, and they are going to stay that way. I paid less than half of what their slabbed counterparts go for.
I dug these two cents a few months apart, both 1803, and very nice details. A little too corroded to send in. Cent 1: Cent 2:
This 1930 Uruguay 5 pesos gold First of all I love the art deco design. it even has edge lettering, with stars.8.4850g,0.9170gold,25.01oz AGW mintage was 100,000, however only 14,415 were ever released,Remaining 85,585 were melted! The beauty of this specimen would be lost in plastic.
This 1866 Year 1 Shield Nickel Again I prefer it raw to graded. Plenty of details ,yet that look of I've been slid across a few bars....for a beer.
The picture does not do justice in hand she's dark but her luster still shines through..... with rainbow tones.
