Yep. I guess if I scratch my initials in a MS coin it would be very rare, right? It would be the only one in existance! WOW! Better try it and post it on here.
Not a rare coin. You have a coin struck by a deteriorated die. I don't kow what you mean by FBMS-65. Please try and educate yourself on errors and varieties before claiming your coin is a rare piece. Machine doubling is not rare. Die deterioration is not rare. Your coin is not rare. There is no error on your coin. Check out sites such as doubleddie.com, error-ref.com, lincolncentresource.com to learn a bit about doubling and other varieties/errors.
I'll tell you what, Mr. Stachowski, you send that rare baby to a reputable TPG service. When you get it back post a pic. If it comes back MS65-FB or FT with that "nice machine doubling", I will pay the grading fee. How's that sound?
Your right non_cent, all i'm doing is posting a error for 2012, never said worth a million dollars, I paid 10 cents for it, not a bad return, for a Dime, that's all ! check out some of my coins, on Canadians Acpuistions, all nice errors :lurker:
The thing is, and I think this is where there may be a little miscommunication, is that your coin is not an error. Die deterioration is not an error. It is a natural process that occurs during the end stages of a die. An error is a mistake, something that deviates from the norm. Die deterioration really isn't either of those things.
Die Clash on a Hawaii Volcano's Quarter. I posted a few days ago but I figured O' what the heck, 2012 errors are scarce!
