Picked all these up as part of a collection... I don't collect jeffersons typically and am pretty frustrated in my efforts to categorize these, but every one in the picture is an error of some sort... Almost all are double dies, some triple and I think maybe a couple quads... The '83's are especially striking... About half are proofs and they are all doubled as well... I had no idea how messed up the dies were for jeffersons... Anyway, my camera is simply not capable of getting a focused shot any closer, so this is the best I can offer for now...
Thank for sharing them! That 69-S is Gemmy Can post post close up of the 1969-S & 1983-P ?Obv&REV:thumb:
Sadly, holding it in your hand you would see the slightest little thumbprint off Jefferson's nose and a trace of PVC damage on the rev. Very disappointing indeed, but USA has some sweet doubling, so it would be a keeper, but I have already sold them off now, so no better pics I am afraid. I believe they are being resold as we speak, in fact.
Time to bump this thread with a great Jefferson. Population 5/5 and all 5 better are MS65. The rarest of all Jefferson Varieties.
Nice one. I need one of those D/D's But I'd be happy with any 60s one. You need one of those in 65FS Good luck with the lotto ticket needed for that too.
Man, I need a camera to start taking pics of my collection. That is if I can ever break away from drooling over all these beauties you all have posted!
Great looking pics!! Here's a special set of war nickels I bought awhile back. I have more separate war nickels but I haven't taken pics yet! This set is really old as you can see by the yellowing of the screws! A few of the nickels have full steps as well!
