Oh My! This can't be good. I was going to take some fresh photos of my two proofs today and try to put them up, but the sun did not shine. Then I popped over here to do some viewing and found this mess. Could be an honest file posting mistake. Could be a sick troll. But image thief~ing may require some gas on the fire.
My bad! I posted 2 nice Frankies not realizing they were from a CT'er. I often copy photos of coins that I like and I do change the title because that makes it simpler for me. In this case I even mislabeled a 1954 as a 1953. So I screwed up a bit. There was no nefarious plan to abuse the photos, I just admired them. My apologies to physics-fan3.14 Bruce
I got a digital camera! Yep, bought a digital camera today. These are my first shots...of new Franklins!! What better way to post then here? I always love these show off your coin threads. These are my first digital photos. I'm not claiming professional photos with absolutely great lighting, but feel free to criticize and off suggestions at will (of coin or photo). Enjoy!
Lookin Good Hard to find anything to pick on for day one with your new toys. I'm guessing you have searched the threads here on pics & how to grab them. And it looks like your new camera is at home in macro mode.:hail: What machine did ya get?
Lighting is hard! I have to say I underestimated the difficulty. I experimented with various lighting techniques (as evidence by some pics turning orange/yellow instead of the bright silver they portray) Coins were also sitting on a brownish background instead of black so I'm not sure if light reflecting off the surface and back to the camera had an affect or not. Either way these were simply perliminary shots just to play around. I still need to problem solve getting the glare off the mylar. :rolling: Camera is a cheapo...12.1 MP Sanyo S120. Not bad though. I'll play around with the new purchases next Saturday and see if I can't improve them.
DJ, those are fantastic. I know I say that every time you post them, but.... Anyways, I'll post another of mine. This is without a doubt the rarest Franklin I own, and it was the last coin I bought for my set - 1952S NGC MS-65 FBL:
Thanks, I have 4 57 sets on the way that are suppose to put those 58's to shame Ill post those up once they get here (should be here between Mon-weds). That 52 sure is sweet!!!
Guess the grade? Here are pics of my 1960 Franklin. What do you think NGC graded it? Sorry these are not the best pics. TC
