They were residing in one of those cheap paper Whitman folders (the kind that commonly turns copper cents greenish/gray and then corrodes them) so I believe I "rescued" them. They were absolutely gorgeous coins and would have made a really, really nice start to a full set...but again, bills had to be paid and I made a responsible decision to part with almost all of my collection at the time. </p> <p style="text-align: center"><br /></p> <p style="text-align: center">The funny part of that story is that I actually took them (already graded) to one local coin shop and the owner offered me a few bucks each on them because they "weren't something he could move all that easily."
