World War II ended 70 years ago today with the surrender of the Japanese Empire on board the US battleship Missouri. Post a coin from the World War II era: 1939 - 1945. Year of D Day.
Frankly, I wish I knew how to post photos because I want to exhibit some of what I have, and I know many CT members would have fun seeing them. I'm going to have to find someone who can help me out. I love your off strike 1944 cent.
Doug, I can't image coins. The above images were done either by Robec (Bob Campbell) or Kryptonitecomics (Shane Canup). I think they both did excellent work. Thank you for your kind comments about the cent. With regards to posting images here, open an account with Photobucket. Once you've downloaded your images to your account you will find thumbnail copies of your images. Put the cursor over the image(s) and in the upper left hand corner 3 horizontal lines will appear. Put your cursor over those lines and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on the "Share links" line. A box will come up. On the right side of the box a variety of "Photo Links" will appear. Click the bottom one "IMG". By doing so you will copy the image file, e.g. it will briefly say copy. Paste that copied line into the Coin Talk thread. When you hit the "Post Reply" button it will show up as an image. Sometimes the auto copying in Photobucket will be a little squirrelly and you'll have to do a "normal" copy in the IMG box as you would do for any line that you're planning on copying and pasting.
How could NGC make such a glaring error? You should auction this slab as an error slab. I bet you could make thousands! Ha, ha!
