had to juice the cent abit as i couldn't capture the amount of blue presented by coin with a staight shot.
Here is one I currently own .... and a few I used to own.. I have also owned dozens of blue mint set toned Frankies, Washington Quarters and Roosevelt dimes but I don't have time to post them all....
I love the 1933 Maundy 2d - quite stunning! A Maundy set is what is missing from my large UK collection ...
Thanks for the nice comment I posted the set here on the ancient & world forum a couple years ago. This was the only coin in the set with stunning toning but I keep the set together.
I know it's darkside. This proof dinar, which is larger than a silver dollar but thinner, is .925 silver.
No regrets as my US coin days were long over. But I hesitated for fear that some dang fool would dip it! Bob
I can't figure out how to capture the colors. Type of bulb, angle and camera specs that you all are using would be most appreciated. I have a lot of colorful cents. This one I have posted previously. This one is in a PCGS holder. This one shot with old Point and shoot on super macro with daylight CFL and EZcube does not do the coin justice.
The cent is very attractive in hand. The 1885 dime with blue color only has a mintage of 8,000 pieces. It may be the lowest mntage (non-gold) coin from Newfoundland. They were dumped into circulation in 1885 & almost no nice specimens survive today.
Here is som of mine, all little blemishes or specks are on the outside. the fourth pic one were the ripple is was a tear on the celo.
