Here is my favorite birth year coin set. I got this from my grandparents on my dads side for Christmas 1963. Always brings a smile to my face.

 

How would one go about getting the coins out of that block if one wanted to? Would it damage the coins being in that?

 

1948 was a good year !

 

I will never remove them but I sure wouldn't want to go through the hassle when the proof set from 1963 is cheap and plentiful.
