    1958d nickel would this count as an off center strike?

    It's not off-center enough to be worth any premium over face value, but yes, it is a very tiny bit off (like 1% or less). Could just have been misaligned dies. In fact, since the reverse looks OK, that's what I'll hang my hat on: slightly misaligned dies.

    Not all that unusual, I'm afraid.

    I agree - Your Nickel is considered a Misaligned Die Strike on the Obverse

    Off Center usually are both sides and should start with some of the Letter missing
