I only have an HP Photosmart C4180 scanner to use and i still cannot get a clear picture. It looks okay but when I zoom in to look at the RPM it gets very blurry. I've been messing with the settings such as zooming in on the rpm in the preview scan, using the scale 50%-400%, as well as trying resolutions from 600dpi - 4800dpi and still no luck (i even tried 19200dpi). Is there a special trick or are these the best I can get with a scanner? The 1958D at the bottom is about the clearest I can make it when up close like that.

Thanks for all your help in advance and i apologize for the two part thread![/QUOTE]

So if I ask a stupid question im sorry :) I've read a lot of good information online as well as buying a book on error coins to get me started. Until I can get a good clear pic of my rpms, here are just some damaged ones. Most likely the damage happened after the mint, but I just would like to make sure. Anyways i have about 20 coins that I need help confirming the errors. I only have an HP Photosmart C4180 scanner to use and i still cannot get a clear picture.
