These dies and planchets were specially prepared . It is hard to imagine that an early business strike die had the capability of producing a full strike coin.
Are my eyes deceiving me or is that a clash on the top of Monticello? I think the coin you posted is attractive. I don't collect this series, so I've never studied the FS designation definitions. Come to think of it, I have no plans to study it either. I do like your Jeff though. Pretty coin.
