    Please post your Portugal/Brazil/Goa coins...

    Here are two of my most recent buys...

    The 400 Reis (Pinto) from Portugal (Lisbon Mint) is UNC/
    while the 4000 Reis (Moeda) from Bahia Mint/Brazil is UNC/FDC

    I got them from Numisma Auction, the 4000 Reis was 2200EUROS/ the 400 Reis 800 EUROS. A MS-66 Joao V 400 Reis (Heritage Auctions) went for $1800US! This coin was no where near the quality of mine. That coin looked more like an EF-45!
    Most European Auctions that grade coins as "mint state" "stempelglanz" would grade US Third Party grading MS-60/61/62 as EF, while MS-63/64/65 as good EF or fast stempelglanz. Only MS-66/67 make the mintstate/stempelglanz grade.
