Hey all Forgive me for my newb question, but I'm not sure I understand population fractions that I often see, such as 1/0 or 2/6. I tried Google but didn't find any useful information. Does the numerator (first number) indicate how many coins or notes exist in that grade? What about the denominator (second number)? Does that refer to the number of coins or notes in all higher grades? That's my suspicion but I can't find any reference or website to confirm it. Thanks!
Your suspicions are correct. The first number is a count of coins/notes in that grade, and the second number indicates a count of coins/notes in a higher grade.
Exactly...for instance, if I have a coin with a pop of 2/3, that means that there are 2 total coins stabbed in that grade with 3 noted in higher grades. At least I think that's how it works.
