I think they are beautiful...albeit paper is more expensive to maintain. Having silver coinage is a far better way to keep circulating money for years to come. I will have to admit that some of the paper money out there right now is absoluetly gorgeous. Thanks. MJH
I find the comments about the ink coming off interesting. My understanding of how the polymer notes are created is that they are a "sandwich" of more than one layer and the printed (ink) layer is inside the note with polymer layers covering it.

Monopoly money is a single color for each value, much like much of our money. The colored plastic money is as far from Monopoly money as you can get.
It's not as terrible as you imagine. When I say that there is just clear plastic it's just like along the creases. Really thin amounts, not like large chunks of the bill.
