I personally dont like "painted" coins, but that's just my own opinion. Others may like the color on their coins, and that's fine, that's what makes this or any hobby great....different strokes for different folks.

The Canadian Mint had some colored commemorative quarters with a colored poppy, and breast cancer ribbon. Those look alright. Most other ones with excessive coloration look bad.
